Prairie Stitches came about because we choose to cloth diaper our daughter, but it is not exclusively a cloth diapering site. I decided to make what I enjoy and get the most satisfaction out of it. Perfecting those baby items and doing them extremely well. There are so many different websites to find cloth diapers and other custom baby gifts to choose from. I predominantly want to focus on Wool Diaper Covers, Wool Pocket Diapers and a few other Baby Items. I am truly a designer by heart (thank you dad for that wonderful gift). If I can design and make it with great quality but economically and easily, I’m all for that! I also have a collection of beautiful purses. Okay, it is more of a fetish. I love purses, bags and containers. I am trying to design the best bag that doesn’t look like a diaper bag, but could very conveniently be used for one. But, if you don’t have kids and love bags, this could very easily be the one for you. So many ideas and so little time! Once the creative juices start flowing, it’s hard to sleep, (except that pure exhaustion conks me out). Recycling items into something new and useful is one of the most awesome experiences someone like myself can have. Juice Pouch Wallets and bags are just a few examples of recycled material that is plentiful in my household. There are even other great ideas for Paper Towel Roll Baskets and CD Containers. I try to make creative art that has a purpose. So in essence, you could say I’m a designer. I cannot bring myself to make "art" just to look at it. We simply don’t have the space to store that kind of stuff, but if we can use it ... all the better! Since Prairie Stitches is based from the residence of my small home, we are not able to stockpile all kinds of fabrics or products. So I will stick to a few basic items that bring me pleasure to make and perhaps even limited edition products.
